Chris Brown
Occupational Therapist
Chris has worked within the disability sector since 2019 following a career change from adventure tourism. While studying he supported a range of National Disability Insurance Scheme participants with varying physical, sensory, behavioural, cognitive, and social abilities to participate in their chosen goals and activities.
Through incorporating client-centred practice and evidence-based practice into the intervention planning and implementation process, Chris produces participant-focused reports, resources and therapy which supports his clients in achieving their NDIS and OT goals.
Chris was brought up in the rural community of Yass which instilled in him the value of always lending a helping hand, being caring, listening to that others have to say, keeping an open mind and being open to look outside the box for a solution for his clients.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of Canberra and a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Outdoor Recreation and Ecotourism from Charles Stuart University. Chris has a background in construction, adventure tourism and is mechanically minded with a keen interest in home modifications, equipment prescription, emotional and sensory regulation.
