
Cynthia Leewardus
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Cynthia is a compassionate and reflective Behaviour Support Practitioner who values understanding each person’s story and supporting them in ways that are meaningful to them.
Since 2020, she has worked across a range of roles in the disability sector, including providing direct support within rehabilitation services for people with traumatic brain injury. Cynthia began practising as a Behaviour Support Practitioner in New Zealand and relocated to Australia at the end of 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Honours in Psychology from Massey University in Auckland, New Zealand.
Cynthia is committed to neuroaffirming practice, focusing on strengths and recognising existing skills. She believes the best way to support someone is to truly understand them as a whole person, shaped by their experiences and environment. Her approach centres on meeting people where they are, prioritising what they value, and supporting their own definition of a good and fulfilling life.
