Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner

Khaila Minogue has worked in the disability and ageing sector for 11 years and has held a number of roles including; Assistant Nurse, Support Worker, Team Leader, Support Coordinator and Behaviour Support Practitioner. More recently, Khaila has moved into a Senior Behaviour Support role. Khaila’s wealth of experience in a variety of roles, has deepened her knowledge of the NDIS, diverse support systems as well as supporting individuals with complex support needs and circumstances.

Khaila is a strong advocate for human rights and weaves this heavily into her practice as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. Positive behaviour support and trauma informed support are key elements of Khaila’s work and she has extensive knowledge completing behaviour assessments and developing high quality behaviour support plans.

Khaila is passionate about individual skill development, trauma informed practice and training, and has played a key role in producing training packages for staff and individuals with a disability.

As Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, Khaila provides supervision and practice support to a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners. Khaila also provides support to the wider organisation, particularly regarding restrictive practices.

Khaila is committed to on-going professional development and current holds the following qualifications:

  • Certificate III Allied Health Assistance – TAFE
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Community Services) – Torrens University
  • Graduate Certificate – Business Management – Monash University
  • Current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner – NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
