Kate Bruton
Speech Pathologist
Kate Bruton has a Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathology). She has extensive national and international experience working within the disability sector as a Speech Pathologist. Kate’s expertise includes working with Adults, and people transitioning into adulthood, who have been identified as having a Learning Disability and or a diagnosis of Autism. Her work focus includes conducting functional assessments of people’s communication skills and identifying suitable Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Kate also specialises in the treatment and management of dysphagia.
Kate is accredited by the Ministry of Justice (UK) to work as a Registered Intermediary; a role which supports vulnerable victims in providing evidence to police and courts. Kate plans to utilise this skill as this program develops in Australia.
